 A few weeks ago advertising Rwanda as a tourist destination might have been mildly contentious. 

In the last week 'Visit Rwanda' has taken on a whole different meaning in the UK, and suddenly the brand associations look a bit shaky and in some quarters their reputations will take a hit:.........on Thursday the UK government announced its plans to 'ship' English Channel migrants to Rwanda.

How these brands respond in the next weeks may determine how their reputations are affected, short and longer term.
