UK and US military experts are working very hard right now to recover an F35 fighter jet that is lying 2km beneath surface of the Mediterranean Sea. 

Why?

Because it is chock full of secrets neither the US nor the UK want their competitors (read enemies) getting their hands on.

Worryingly, the sea lanes where the crash happened are frequented by Russian ships and submarines. This is proper 007 stuff and a race against time. Imagine the technology required to recover this plane!

Never mind the £100m cost or replacing this lost jet, what the Royal Navy and US salvage teams are seeking to recover is something more valuable: the weapons and computer systems.
