Deep Seeking is the Mother of Innovation

A start up spends a fraction of the big 4 tech giants and beats them at their own game. Stock markets plummet as investors realise the tech giants are not invincible!

They say necessity is the mother of innovation and creativity, and a Chinese start up 𝗗𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲. We have been told we are too far behind and we can never catch up in AI, because the learning model takes too much data and power.

They said you had to spend $100m minimum, Deep Seek spent $5.6m. They looked at it differently using reinforcement learning instead of massive, labelled knowledge data sets, used less GPU, less power and managed to work round China’s chip restrictions.

Innovation, Knowledge and Creativity are fundamentals driving intellectual property creation and strategy, and challenging the incumbents in markets, yes even Meta, Alphabet, MS and Nvidia.
